Arctic Cat history

1986

All of Arctic Cat's trademarks, equipment, and manufacturing properties were acquired subsequently in 1986 and 1987, restoring much of the luster formerly radiated by Arctic Enterprises. Sales and profits rose energetically throughout the remainder of the decade,

ho can tell me what highly innovative recreational vehicle was launched in early 1986 that was developed, tested and designed by Arctic Enterprises in the late 70's and early 80's.

Hint: It was not launched by Arctco, it was a part of the "sell off" during the bankruptcy.
Works on water, something previously not possible to do by yourself... Another guess: The Ski-Free?

Hope I got the name right.

There was this little contraption out on the market back then with roughly a 40hp jet drive remote controlled by the water-skier. Not sure about Arctic Ent. involvement though. I'm probably wrong but it was a cool little toy.

These seem to be a lot larger than I remember, same concept though.

You Got it AG! The ski Free concept came from Arctic Enterprises but went on to Cuyuna in the bankruptcy.
Good job man! I thought it would be a while before I got the right answer to that one!
